Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated Newspaper Delivery Driver to efficiently deliver newspapers and other goods along established routes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills and a strong focus on customer service. This role requires a reliable driver with experience in route navigation and the ability to handle deliveries in a timely manner while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Drive vehicle along designated routes to deliver newspapers and other items to customers.
- Manage and maintain delivery schedules to ensure prompt and accurate deliveries.
- Load and unload newspapers and goods, ensuring that all items are delivered in excellent condition.
- Collect payments from customers when necessary and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Interact with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide excellent service.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Report any delivery issues or customer complaints to the appropriate management staff.
- Adhere to local traffic laws and safety guidelines while driving and delivering goods.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in newspaper or goods delivery.
- Strong knowledge of local routes and ability to navigate efficiently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
