Job Brief
As a Granite Setter, you will be responsible for constructing and installing stone structures including piers, walls, and abutments. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in masonry techniques, and the ability to interpret blueprints. Responsibilities
- Construct and install granite structures, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Lay walks, curbstones, and specialty masonry for vats, tanks, and floors.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute designs accurately.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and fit granite pieces.
- Measure and prepare surfaces for granite installation, ensuring proper alignment and leveling.
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Perform quality checks on completed installations to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Granite Setter or similar role in the masonry industry.
- Strong knowledge of different types of stone materials and installation techniques.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in masonry work.
